Lately January has turned into a very busy month which party explains why we’ve missed holding a party for a couple of years. The weekend that we usually hold our party has become a popular weekend for all sorts of other events so it was a case of either beat ‘em or join ‘em. We decided to join them, so we moved our party.

So now we hold ours in July. As well as being a quieter month with regard to competing events, being winter it’s a hell of a lot cooler. This made for a nice cosy atmosphere in The Shed. People didn’t have to go outside to try top cool down – just to smoke.

It wasn’t a huge affair. To be honest we didn’t do much promotion. But we still managed just under a hundred people through the night with the last who were able to leave under their own steam doing so at about 5am and the few remainders crashed around the place until lunch time the next day.

Early in the party.

I was too busy to bring the camera out once the party was in full swing.
