Now, we knew that numbers would be down for this party as we were competing with the Ruby Party. In fact, if it wasn't for the fact that we were holding a party we would have been at Ruby ourselves! In any case, about 80 people turned up, many of them seeing the Shed for the first time. We don't know how many went to the old address and woke up the tenants there. The Shed is great for a party. Just the right size and a nice big open space. Our guests who were smokers were kind enough to wander outside to get their fix, and the occasional non-smoker wandered out to the street to join them. It was a warm night so by about 11pm the entire party had moved to the street outside. Bugger it, we thought. We'll just open the roller door and move the whole party out there. Quite a few left early to get to Ruby which allowed us to finish a lot earlier than usual. The last person was out of there by 2am. We didn't even get any complaints from the neighbours, despite the impromptu street party.
