For the last 6 weeks I have been working extra hard at trying to put on a bit more muscle. My weight sits constantly at 62Kg and in the past I have managed to get it up to 63kg by taking dietary supplements and hitting the gym harder. I thought it was time to give it a try again.
This time I am on a daily creatine powder as well as protein powder. Rather than my usual 3 times a week at the gym I am working out 4 or 5 times a week. I can certainly feel the difference - I seem to be able to push heavier weights. My goal was to push my weight up to 65kg, but I missed by just over 1kg. I did manage to get up to 63.75kg - still the heaviest I've ever weighed in my life.
It seems to be pretty well a party per month these days. I guess that's not too bad, but normally during the winter I expect the party scene to quieten down a bit.
This month was Big Queer Nation. Normally, there is a mid-year fund raiser for the AIDS Council of NSW, but producing dance parties is becoming more complicated these days. This year ACON commissioned the producers of Queer Nation to produce the party for them. Basically it was like any other Queer Nation - only bigger.

It seemed to be a similar crowd to the regular Queer Nation crowd but spread over 3 separate venues at Faux Studios. Despite the producers finally negotiating with the powers that be for the use of the Dome as a dance space, it was pretty well wasted. Stage Eleven was . . . well, Stage Eleven. That left me in the Horden for most of the night.
I managed to survive the whole night, running into almost everyone I knew. Greig and Brad disappeared early in the morning with a couple of new friends that they had met and Jimi befriended a young lad who seemed to take a shine to him. The last few hours of the party were spent sitting in the bleachers watching the party though - I can only stay on the dance floor for so long.
I spent most of the Sunday after the party asleep as I had been talked into heading out again on Sunday night to the Indulgence Party at the Midnight Shift.
The last Indulgence Party for me was a bit of a let-down. The music was crap and the crowd, while being friendly, didn't have a lot to work with. This time it was heaps better. The music was a lot harder. I actually lasted until 5:30am - not bad considering It was a last minute party. Naturally, I spent the entire rest of the day asleep, trying to get ready for work the next day.
Apart from the one weekend of excess, the month was a quiet one. No major excitement at all. It's a bit of a worry really - I seem to be spending one weekend a month partying hard and the rest of the month leading the quiet life. I guess it's what they call "balance".
