God help me. A couple of months into the "party off-season" and I'm already doing wholesome things like dinner parties and going to bar-b-ques! If I keep on going like this I'll end up going to church on Sunday mornings!
We threw a little dinner party at home where Jimi helped Greig prepare one of their now famous banquets. For the life of me, I can't remember who was there. Probably too much booze.
The following day we had Grant and Kelly come over for lunch. Grant and Kelly are a couple that we met at a party in Melbourne a few years ago. It makes sense that we travel to Melbourne and meet Sydney boys. Anyway, it allowed for a nice afternoon of eating and sipping wine.
Then there was dinner with Tim & Glynn, along with a group from their work. Tim and Glynn now work together which I think is always a dangerous thing. Mind you, they seem to have survived this long. I'm sure I've mentioned before that Tim has been a friend for ages and Glynn is his boyfriend who he met in the UK while working on the Commonwealth Games there. They did a nice bar-b-que with far too much food and quite a bit of alcohol. I mean, why would you have seven different full cakes for ten people?

Phillip slightly under-dressed.
Phillip is a very nice boy that we met at Newtown Gym back when Phillip was taking the gym seriously. Actually, Phillip still seems to be taking the gym seriously. He and his boyf, Peter invited us over of a nice quiet dinner where more good food and wine was consumed.
Rose is an old BBS friend (that is, he's a friend from the old BBS, not that he's old) and Danny is his boyf of several years. They held a quiet little bar-b-que in their back yard where we ate some very nice meat as well as some offal in condoms. Oh, and we drank some alcohol.
On the up-side, I have now achieved my desired weight of 65kg. It's just a shame that it's probably due to all the eating and drinking rather than putting on muscle.
Sam has been helping me to do some "decorating" in the container. We have woven a very nice (and very secure) web out of chain. In a few weeks we are arranging a proper test of the new facilities to ensure that they are up to standard. More reports as they come to hand (but not too detailed). I still want to do a little more work to make the space a bit more "comfortable". Not too comfortable of course - that's not the point.
Unfortunately, some bad news this month with Jimi and one of his friends, Azim being bashed and robbed on their way home in Surry Hills. Azim was bashed pretty badly although didn't require a hospital stay. Jimi managed to escape physically unscathed, buy emotionally fragile. The two of them were set upon by a group of six guys in their teens. Yeah, that's brave - six against two. I spent a few nights keeping Jimi company as he tried to settle after the attack. He managed to spring back again after about a week, but I'm sure it will take a while before they feel 100% safe again.

My mothers Llasa Apso, which is apparently the gayest breed in the world.
After me bugging him for ages, Jimi has finally taken me to a movie at Govindas. I guess I could just gone off my own back, but Govindas was always his place for taking people and I wanted my turn dammit! We saw the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy after enjoying a very large buffet style vege meal. I have eaten way to much this month.
Now, being the HHGG dork that I am, everyone was expecting me to hate the movie. I didn't. Sure, it was different to the Radio Play, but then the Radio Play was different to the books and the books were different to the records. I'm perfectly comfortable with the story changing. I wasn't so comfortable with the love story in the movie, but hey - that's Hollywood.
I did finally manage one "kind-of" party at the end of the month. Sydney Leather Pride held a small dance party at a pub in Broadway. Master Dan is back in the country after spending a lot of time working in New Zealand and Queensland. He gave me a call at about 5 o'clock in the afternoon and asked if I wanted to go that night. After over a month without partying, I was keen.
While the party was neither large, or attractive, or filthy, it was a nice opportunity to have a bop to same good hard music. That was until the second DJ came on and started playing "retro". Once the disco tracks started I decided that it was time to leave. They probably did me a favour - I didn't want a late night anyway. I wouldn't want to sleep in on a church day.
