It's been a bit of a quiet month this month so I'll try to make the mundane things seem as exciting as possible.

Let me see . . .

Errrrr . . .

We had a nice dinner with Jimi and Antoine at Jimi's house, where Antoine showed his skills in French cooking.

We had pizza at Mikes (ex of Sean & Mike) where he showed us his new rug.

We had farewell drinks at the Dolphin Hotel for Cameron (ex of Sam & Cameron), who is leaving for the shores of Europe to live.

(Why are there so many ex's?)

We finally got around to inviting Paul and Rishi around for a nice dinner. They've fed us a couple of times and it was long overdue that we return the favour. The only think that made it difficult is that they are vegetarian, so Greig had to come up with a nice vegie menu.

Because it was a vegie deal, we also invited James (also vegetarian), one of the old gang from Wagga. James now lives in Sydney where he works as a presenter for ABC Radio. It's actually been ages since we caught up with him as he spent a bit of time managing one of the ABC Radio Stations in Perth.

The great news was that despite his injury that was expected to see him confined to a wheel chair for the rest of his life, Paul arrived on two feet, heavily supported by a cane. His rehabilitation progress has been nothing short of miraculous.

So anyway, the usual things happened. Food was eaten and a quantity of alcohol was consumed.

A great deal of work was done on the bathroom so now the floor tiles are down, the underfloor heating is connected and working and the shower is even installed! It's basically a working bathroom finally, although the floor grill for the drain is off being adjusted which leaves a rather large gap in the floor, the shower curtain doesn't quiet reach the ground and there is a slight lack of a sink.

Our 20th anniversary is coming up in October but we have decided that we really don't want the whole hassle of organising a party to celebrate. Everyone is expecting us to have a huge party and well, there are just too many other things to do.

So, we have contracted Ma to organise a party for us. We gave him a very brief brief (basically, the date of the event) and sent him off hunting a suitable venue. More news as it comes to hand.

Oh, and I won $10,000,000 in the lottery.

No I didn't. It was just such a quiet month I made that last bit up to make things sound more exciting.
