April was actually pretty quiet. I did take advantage of the Easter weekend to get my revenge on Sam after his effort last month, but you don't want to hear all about that. Well you probably do, but I'm not gonna tell you.
Sam and I also spent a couple of weekends working on his little project. <description deleted> We decided to call it "<name deleted>", partly because of it's function, but mainly because calling it "Kylie" didn't seem to work. We were ably assisted by Bailey, a new friend that Sam introduced to me (rather painfully) last month.
I should explain.

Bailey and Sam and The Device
Sam has been seeing a boy since late last year. That's Chris. If you have been paying attention you would know that I met Chris in December last year. When I say that Sam has been seeing Chris, he hasn't actually been seeing him much at all. At the start of this year Chris pissed off to the U.K. for six months. That was all arranged before he met Sam. Now, Chris introduced Sam to Bailey, another errrrr . . . like-minded individual. Sam then introduced Bailey to me.
Still with me?
So, the three of us (Sam, Bailey and me) have been designing and building a device that Sam can use to welcome Chris back to the country in a couple of months time. Chris knows that something is being built but he doesn't know what it is. The reason that I deleted some of the more descriptive stuff above is because Chris is a smart boy and he'd know to check my journal to try to get a clue as to what this mystery device is.
Sorry Chris. You aren't gonna find out that easy.
Sam did warn you as to what would happen should you try.
So after that long-winded explanation, the short version is that we spent a few weekends this month working on The Device.
One of these working bee's turned into a impromptu little dinner party. Sam and Bailey were already at the Shed so we invited Fergal over as well for a bite to eat. It was also an opportunity to show Fergal The Device so he could get an idea of what he'd be in for should he be foolish enough to join us on a "play night".
Fergal was very enthusiastic.
The 25th of April is Anzac day, a solemn occasion when all Australians take a day off to commemorate the young Australian lives destroyed in the folly of war and to get drunk and play two-up. Greig and I commemorated by heading off to The Shift and dancing. (Everyone has their own way of coping with grief. This is ours. Don't knock it. Our boys died in the trenches so we could do this.)
Ruby was playing a party there and had promised some nice shiney new lasers. Her certainly delivered. They were pretty spectacular. Some of the cleanest colours I've seen in a laser. I'm sure I saw white at one point as well! There were a couple of cute boys there as well, but we didn't make any new friends. We did run into a few old ones though.
The only other thing of note that happened this month was a dinner at the home of Gogo.
Greig and I have a long and sordid history with Gogo. He was the brains behind WILD-FM a few years ago. A very smart guy and clever businessman. His undoing of course was to piss off the Australian Broadcasting Authority.
Gogo organised a dinner with us as well as Tim and Glynn, mutual friends of ours. Unfortunately, Gogo, Tim and Glynn all currently work for the Fitness First empire. The dinner turned into a bit of a Fitness First gossip fest, little of which Greig or I understood.
The food was excellent though.
