October 2007

<< Previous Entry Journal Menu Next Entry >>

Greetings to you. This month's journal is being ghost written. It's unauthorised, and may or may not be contentious (or even interesting, for that matter).

The diary reports that October 2007 was like any other month. It started with our subject recovering (recuperating) from his Sleaze Ball adventure, contained healthy doses of indoor rock-climbing, and added another Sideshow taping at the ABC.

Mmmmmm - chocolate

Were he to be writing this, Rocky would surely mark the highlight of the month as his and Greig's 21st anniversary dinner at the Hilton Hotel in the City. Or else. This was a fun affair - the food was lovely, and the boys had a great time paying out on the other diners with their waitress.

The date at the next table didn't seem to be going all too well, and the other obviously married couple nearby seemed to spend the night ignoring each other much more so than long-married couples are meant to.

Pinkboard's Larry & Greg dined at Chez Shed as well during the month, which has been a long time coming. The cook's promised to have them back again soon.

The month culminated in a sunset helicopter flight of the Harbour in an oversized bumblebee powered by something that sounded like a dak-dak (VW beetle) motor.

And this photo we left-justified.

(This trip was a prize won through work, so all the more enjoyable because it was free).

The flight left from the helicopter pads buried down the back of the airport at Mascot, flew directly to the coast at Maroubra, and then tracked just offshore North to Manly, before turning inland and heading back to the Harbour.

There was the obligatory hover between the Bridge and the O House, the waves exchanged with the people climbing the Bridge, and then it was back to Mascot. Greig was pleased when they landed because another 5 or 10 minutes in the air and lunch would have made a reappearance.

So that's about it, another month gone by. We hope Rocky might return next month with more first-person news of his travels and mischief.
